To Makers,

To the ones who dance like no one’s watching.

We go too long without telling our stories—stories of how we made something great, something that failed, something small, something that worked. We forget to share how these experiences shape us. How they propel us forward. Maybe it's because we're waiting for the right time, or for someone else to tell it for us. Maybe we feel there’s nothing special to tell. Maybe we're just busy making.

This is why today I'm starting Behind the Ship.

The dream is simple: to meet at least some of you, to help share just a piece of your big story. To offer the world a glimpse behind what it truly takes to design, make, and ship.

I hope you read these stories when they come out. I hope they make you proud. I hope, in some small way, they move you—to start and to never stop. To keep going, even when you fail.

Because something made today can last for generations to come.

So make.
